The scientific article examines the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as alternatively developing integration associations in a multipolar world. The reasons, directions of development and benefits of membership in these organizations, as well as the impact of sanctions on member countries and on the associations as a whole are analyzed. The article examines the role of the EAEU and SCO in shaping the global market situation, as a result of which an analysis and comparison of macroeconomic indicators of the associations is carried out, which allows us to consider the development potential of organizations under sanctions pressure.
