Kisly A.Yu.

Abstract

The article introduces the fact of organizing a working group for dialogue between the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Department of Religious Affairs of Türkiye, with the leadership, leading experts and their initiatives expressed in the reports made at the meetings of the group. Particular attention is drawn to the need for joint work of representatives of the two largest religious denominations in search of a common language, a common understanding of the causes of conflicts, threats, challenges to the moral principles of human existence and ways out of such crises. Some conclusions are also given based on the results of the joint activities of this working group that have been carried out for almost a decade. On the basis of the proposed article, one can form a clear idea of the expediency of organizing and holding such meetings in the future, their impact on the deepening of bilateral ties and the need to extrapolate the experience gained to other areas of Russian-Turkish relations.
