Abstract

On the territory of Central Asia there are a number of independent states that differ in the level of socio-economic development, the essence and content of ideological and political systems. At the dawn of their independence, the countries of the region, fenced off from each other by borders and customs, were absorbed by the internal problems of the formation of statehood, the formation of a new ideology, tried to comprehend the Soviet legacy and adapt to new realities. All these transformations have caused significant changes in the existing interstate relations. However, Central Asia has a long history. After all, despite the wide palette of historical, anthropological, cultural, social, economic and political features, the unifying factors prevail among the peoples of Central Asia. In this context, the Central Asian states face the difficult task of countering new challenges and threats, choosing an adequate, effective system for ensuring regional security. It is possible to solve the problems in this direction only by combining the efforts, actions and initiatives of all the states of the region.
