The review presents an analysis of one of the most recent studies by Tunisian journalist and international relations expert Safi Saïd, entitled The Geopolitics of Progress: Another Introduction to the Future of the Greater Maghreb. The study analyzes the geopolitical role and position of the Greater Maghreb within the contemporary global order; specific emphasis is placed on the region’s prospects. Through a comprehensive critical analysis of historical, sociocultural, and strategic factors, the author identifies a series of contradictions and challenges threatening its further trajectory. The study constitutes an appeal for a fundamental reassessment of approaches to national security provision, as well as the foreign and domestic policies of the region’s states, with the objective of securing a prosperous future for the Greater Maghreb.
