The article analyzes modern approaches to understanding historical
memory, with an emphasis on recognizing the contribution of the people of Uzbekistan
to the Victory over fascism. Special attention is paid to research that highlights the
importance of preserving historical memory in the context of globalization and changes
in political and social life. The author has attempted to analyze modern scientific and
social approaches to the formation of collective memory, the role of education and culture
in the transfer of knowledge about the war to new generations.
