The article reveals the issues of logistical support for the troops of
the Trans-Baikal, 1 st and 2 nd Far Eastern Fronts in the Manchurian strategic offensive
operation, which took place in difficult physical and geographical conditions of the
theater of military operations. Huge distances and an underdeveloped network of communications
excessively complicated the work of formations, military units and logistics
institutions. One of the most difficult tasks of the home front was to ensure the
accumulation of material reserves.
