Geopolitical Processes in Arab World

Abstract

Historically, the Arab world has experienced a variety of internal problems. In inter-Arab relations, the author notes the centripetal and centrifugal trends that have been unfolding for decades, affecting the balance of power in the Middle East. The author also emphasizes the factors of interaction within the Arab states of the phenomenon of confrontation between modern and traditional societies. The influence of globalization on the development of the countries of the Arab East is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the struggle for leadership in the Arab world, which, coupled with the negative impact of the neo-colonial policy of the West, leads to an increasing regional conflict. The role of Russia’s presence in the Middle East, aimed at constructive cooperation with Arab countries in various fields, is positively assessed.
