The article is devoted to the peculiarities of Iran’s foreign policy in the South Caucasus at the present stage, amid the degradation of its relations with Western countries and the declared pivot of the country toward the East and Asia. It analyzes the main trends in the development of the South Caucasus as a regional subsystem of international relations, as well as the logistics and energy projects promoted by various states in the region. It is noted that for Iran, the South Caucasus represents part of the broader megaregion of Southwest Asia, where Tehran’s key strategic interests are concentrated. The article examines Iran’s foreign policy course in the South Caucasus during the presidency of Ebrahim Raisi, with particular attention to the dynamics within the “triangle” of Iran – Azerbaijan – Armenia relations.
