The article examines the state policy on the formation of
civil society and civil identity – Kyrgyz Zharany (citizen of Kyrgyzstan) –
among representatives of all ethnic groups of the country’s population, as one
of the factors for establishing stability and tolerance of interethnic relations in
Kyrgyzstan, after conflicts on national grounds in the south of Kyrgyzstan
in June 2010.
